Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Isle of Wight Networking is a free, informal networking event for local businesses, organised by Colloco Marketing. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- When you RSVP: first name, last name, business name, email address and the event date.
- When you join the mailing list: first name, email address and (optionally) business name, plus a record of your consent.
- When you register interest in exhibiting at the Small Business Expo: business name, a brief description of what you do, your website or social media links, and your contact name and email address.
Why we use it
- RSVPs — to get a rough idea of numbers and, if needed, contact you about that event (legitimate interests).
- Mailing list — to email you about upcoming events and occasional updates, only if you've ticked to agree (consent).
- Expo interest — to contact you about exhibiting at the Small Business Expo as details are confirmed (legitimate interests).
Replying to an RSVP does not sign you up to marketing emails unless you tick the separate box.
Sharing
We never sell your details. They're stored securely with our website hosting provider and aren't shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
RSVP details are kept for up to 12 months. Expo interest details are kept for up to 12 months after the expo takes place. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing hello@isleofwightnetworking.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
